What is PlainHub Editor?

PlainHub is a Markdown and plain-text editor for your own GitHub repositories, wired to Claude Code. Open a file in your browser or on your phone, write, and save — every save is a Git commit, so your history is always there.

Connect the Claude Code running on your own PC and use it from any browser or your phone, by text or hands-free by voice. Your agents keep a shared ledger of progress and decision cards in your repo, and you approve from anywhere.

Your files stay in your GitHub: PlainHub's servers don't store them, and you grant the GitHub App access only to the repositories you choose.

Features:

  • Edit Markdown and plain-text files in your GitHub repos from a browser or phone; every save is a Git commit
  • Your own Claude Code, from any browser or your phone, by text or hands-free by voice — no API key needed, it runs with your Claude subscription
  • A shared ledger for agents and people: agents post progress notes and decision cards as Markdown files in your repo, and you approve or decline from PC or phone
  • Organize it like a drive: folders, drag and drop, previews for images and PDFs; move, rename or delete, one commit each
  • Search across all your repositories
  • AI panel that proposes edits you review before they are applied; it can also rename, move or delete files and switch repos
  • History, diffs, and a compare screen when the same file was edited in two places; if a file changed elsewhere, PlainHub asks instead of silently overwriting
  • MCP server and CLI on npm (plainhub), listed in the MCP Registry
  • Try it without signing in: https://plainhub.dev/?guest=1
