Pengo is a local-first personal finance app. Everything runs on your device: there is no server, no account, and no tracking. Your financial history is stored in a single AES-256 encrypted database file that only you can open.
Import bank statements (CSV, OFX, GPC) instead of linking your bank. Pengo categorizes transactions with rules, detects duplicates on re-import, and recognizes recurring payments and subscriptions, showing what is due in the next 7 days. Budgets work by month, week, two weeks, or payday to payday. A balance forecast estimates where you will end the month, and savings goals track progress. Multi-currency accounts are converted with ECB rates.
Pengo 1.9 adds Net worth: track real estate, metals, crypto, securities, savings, receivables, and debts in one place, with an ownership share and a valuation history for each item. Purchases and sales are dated movements, so quantity and acquisition date are always exact, and the same coin held in several wallets shows as one grouped row. For native crypto on Hyperliquid, Pengo can optionally fetch indicative prices and price history from its own price server; this is opt-in only, the server never sees your holdings, and the price files are identical for every user. A net-worth-over-time chart appears on the Dashboard. Viewing, editing, valuing, archiving, and backing up items stay free with no limits; Plus is needed to create new items, for the automatic crypto prices, and for the net worth chart on the Dashboard.
