What is pCloud?
pCloud is a cloud-based storage solution that centralizes and makes digital content like images, videos, and documents accessible from any device, anywhere. It also allows file sharing with managed access permissions. Its user-friendly interface is compatible with various platforms like iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, and Linux. The pCloud Drive desktop application creates a secure virtual drive on your computer, expanding your local storage space. Changes made in your pCloud are instantly synced across all your devices.
pCloud features include Branded links for customized download links and pCloud Crypto for secure storage of sensitive information. The latter encrypts files on your device before uploading to the cloud, making them inaccessible even to pCloud administrators.

Comments and Reviews
pCloud is one of the few services that just shows up as a drive on my computer, which is exactly what I want. I don't want a backup program that just backs up any and everything on my hard drive.
Why I Don't Like Whole Hard Drive Backup Services
First of all, I have have multiple hard drives, my main one being 8 TB. I calculated that it would take, "3 years, 5 months and 25 days" to upload my entire 8 TB drive with my current available upload speed at 0.8 Mbps (which is the fastest available in my area). I'm sure my files wouldn't stay static the whole time it's being uploaded either.
Why I Don't Like Folder Sync Services
Syncing a folder is nice, as long as it's a smaller folder, which is why Dropbox Free works perfect for me (I've used referrals to get up my storage up to 20 GB). Their 'Plus' plan offers 2 TB of syncing space, which is way more that I'd like to be constantly syncing anyway. That would be 2 TB of files taking up space on my hard drive. The initial sync would take quite some time also. Plus pCloud does offer the ability to sync any folder on your hard drive (or multiple, different folders) if you do want syncing folder(s).
As a Drive
With pCloud all my files are in my pCloud drive (which happens to be drive P:\ in 'My Computer', 'Computer' or 'This PC' or whatever Windows decides to call it in the future). This way I can decide which files to put in the drive and it won't be taking up space on my hard drive. They also offer Lifetime plans for a fair price (when it's on sale). It's really nice to not have to pay any monthly or yearly fees. Plus the lifetime plans can stack, which I have done twice so far, which brought my storage to 4 TB.
Questionable privacy.
Definitely NOT E2EE. Shady af.
Okay service, but Microsoft OneDrive really beats them on price.
I bought pClouds 2TB lifetime plan back in 2017. I haven't had to pay anything ever since then. I'd say that price is considerably better than OneDrives.
Over 7 years ago though...
Really regrettable experience on macOS. I bought extra encryption. I uploaded some of my archives. Then I deleted them locally. I didn't think they would get damaged. Somehow, maybe during the upload process, they got damaged. The pCloud client didn't warn me or re-upload them. The worst part is that you need an external application to use pCloud Drive on macOS. Without the drive, you must keep all your data on your Mac or manually move them to another folder on the website (a folder not synced to any device).
pCloud is among the best cloud tools for those who want an alternative with a focus on greater security and privacy to big tech services!
Besides having a low price (compared to others), it has Linux compatibility, automatic machine backup option, sharing with third parties, support for two-factor authentication and factors and the possibility of joining the monthly/annual or lifetime subscription packages or lifetime subscription packages with large storage capacity!
My only point of attention is that Sync, another good alternative to the big techs, does not charge to have excellent privacy and security protection, unlike pCloud, which charges not only to have more storage, but also to add extra features and functions (creating and sharing folders or files, for example)!
Obviously I do not know the internal organizations of this company, but I believe it is not an optimal practice, since in Brazil (country where I live), many users may face financial difficulties to acquire paid packages with storage + basic features...
Good value and lifetime subscription is good. However there are too many synchronisation errors and issues. Seems to have particular issues with Macs. I'd still recommend it to people on PCs, as long as they didn't need to sync between several computers (Edit: I am now also seeing issues with synchronising between two PCs). I'm hoping they make improvements because mostly it works well (and I bought a lifetime subscription!), but if the issues persist I'll be swapping to one of the bigger providers.
P.s. It's a real pity because Pcloud offer exactly what I want - a no frills syncronisation service at a reasonable cost. It just needs to be more reliable.
