What is Parlo?
Parlo is an AI teaching assistant built specifically for teachers. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Parlo adapts to your curriculum, exam board, and educational terminology from the moment you sign up - so every output matches your actual teaching context without re-explaining it each session.
Teachers set their profile once at onboarding - curriculum, subject, year group, and exam board - and Parlo applies it automatically. A teacher using AQA gets AQA mark scheme conventions. A teacher on ACARA gets the right Australian planning terminology. A CBSE teacher gets outputs framed around the correct division and class system. The AI speaks your curriculum natively.
Parlo covers eight teaching tasks:
- Lesson plans structured to your curriculum's format
- Schemes of work and unit plans
- Quizzes and retrieval practice starters with answer keys
- Parent and carer emails
- Differentiation support, including for SEND and named conditions
- Report comments (three variations per pupil)
- Cover lesson packs for non-specialist supervisors
- Starter and exit ticket generators
Teachers choose their preferred tone - Concise, Collegial, Empathetic, Encouraging, or Formal - and Parlo applies it consistently. A memory feature retains teaching preferences across sessions, so the AI gets more useful over time without extra effort from the teacher.
Privacy is a first-class feature, not an afterthought. Parlo does not use teacher data to train AI models. The product is GDPR-compliant, hosted in the EU, and ICO registered (ZC172833). Teachers can export all their data or delete their account at any time.
Supported curricula at launch: National Curriculum (England), Australian Curriculum (ACARA), CBSE, Ontario Curriculum, and US Curriculum. Additional frameworks added as the teacher community grows.
Plans: 14-day free trial (no card required), then Individual ($9.99/month or $99/year), Department (up to 10 teachers), and School (up to 30 teachers).
