Palo Alto Networks Applipedia iPhone application is an on-the-go version of the rich knowledge base of applications controlled by Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls. Applipedia provides information about the nature of each application (e.g., Skype, Twitter, BitTorrent, Sharepoint), including a risk rating, benefits, and specific behaviors exhibited by the application. This enables organizations to make intelligent policy decisions, and then enforce them with next-generation firewalls from Palo Alto Networks – controlling applications regardless of port, protocol, or evasive tactics.
