What is Orbit by Noveum?

Orbit is a free, open-source task manager for people and AI agents. It brings issues, Kanban boards, projects, sprints, documents and file attachments into a shared workspace. Changes appear in realtime, and keyboard shortcuts support common workflows.

The hosted application has no per-seat fees or paid software tiers. The Apache-2.0 source is available for self-hosting. The Docker stack includes PostgreSQL, Redis, private S3-compatible storage, a realtime service and scheduled maintenance. Self-hosting infrastructure is supplied by the operator.

AI assistants connect to the hosted MCP server using Streamable HTTP and workspace-scoped OAuth. Users sign in and approve access to a workspace; no API key is required. The connection address is https://orbit.noveum.ai/mcp. The GitHub repository contains the complete Orbit application, rather than a standalone stdio MCP package.
