Comments about Fabulously Optimized as a Alternative to OptiFine
Better performance on most computers, nearly all Optifine features are replicated, works better with other mods, is open-source and built with the community2
Huge fan! Open source, great community, fast updates. And the performance is just insane.1
Way better experience than playing with Optifine with few downsides. It provided almost complete Optifine feature parity with ever better performance, the community and support is great! Never looked back after switching.2
The greatest alternative of OptiFine. It is open-source. I tried it and I got high FPS. Also it is just like vanilla minecraft. It doesn't add new blocks, items etc.1
it stupidly gives you more fps than optifine, and has most of its features
i could write a lot more, but i think thats the main thing0
Sodium is a free and open-source rendering engine replacement for the Minecraft client that greatly improves frame rates, reduces micro-stutter, and fixes graphical issues in Minecraft.
Comments about Sodium as a Alternative to OptiFine
Sodium is objectively the best FPS boosting mod out there. From experience, it triples my FPS, and it is said to tenfold on some devices. It does not have shader support however you can use IRIS for that which is just shader supporting Sodium at its basic.0
Sodium required fabric API and not support optifine shaderpacks but incrase your FPS dramaticly, reduce micro-stutter, minecraft chunks load very fast.
(Not: Fabric API is modular and lightweight alternative to minecraft forge)0
Much better boost than optifine.0
VanillaFix is a mod that improves performance and fixes bugs and annoyances in vanilla Minecraft. Tripling FPS is common, try it for yourself if you don't believe it! Also, with VanillaFix installed, Minecraft will no longer fully crash, but rather kick you out to the main...Discontinued

The Iris Project is a collaborative open-source project created by a team of passionate developers seeking to make the Minecraft shaders experience the best that it can be. Iris is developed by the community, for the community.
Comments about Iris Mod as a Alternative to OptiFine
Iris is basically Sodium mod with shaders. So you basically get shaders with Sodium's FPS boost. And there are very little things, if any at all, you can't replace with mods in Fabric that OptiFine has. But if you're doing heavy modding you'll probably use Forge, in which case your only option will be OptiFine. So you can't really throw away OptiFine either.0
BetterFps is a client side minecraft mod that add a few performance improvements. It tries to be compatible with other mods.

Additive is a simple OptiFine alternative modpack for Minecraft. It has many of the features you know and love from OptiFine, like shaders, high optimization, resource pack features, zoom, capes, and more. This pack is built from another project, [Adrenaline](https://modrinth.
Adrenaline is a simple performance modpack for Minecraft that tries to keep the game as fast as possible, while still looking great. It is meant to be a sort of "base layer" that you can build on top of to make your own modpacks and instances or just use by itself.
