Comments about Fabulously Optimized as a Alternative to OptiFine
robotkoerBetter performance on most computers, nearly all Optifine features are replicated, works better with other mods, is open-source and built with the community
2nsdeHuge fan! Open source, great community, fast updates. And the performance is just insane.
1WrongFireWay better experience than playing with Optifine with few downsides. It provided almost complete Optifine feature parity with ever better performance, the community and support is great! Never looked back after switching.
2RemovedUserThe greatest alternative of OptiFine. It is open-source. I tried it and I got high FPS. Also it is just like vanilla minecraft. It doesn't add new blocks, items etc.
1ugamiiit stupidly gives you more fps than optifine, and has most of its features
i could write a lot more, but i think thats the main thing

Sodium Features
Comments about Sodium as a Alternative to OptiFine
Atlas19Sodium is objectively the best FPS boosting mod out there. From experience, it triples my FPS, and it is said to tenfold on some devices. It does not have shader support however you can use IRIS for that which is just shader supporting Sodium at its basic.
0Oktay MercanSodium required fabric API and not support optifine shaderpacks but incrase your FPS dramaticly, reduce micro-stutter, minecraft chunks load very fast.
(Not: Fabric API is modular and lightweight alternative to minecraft forge)
0Much better boost than optifine.

Iris Mod Features
Comments about Iris Mod as a Alternative to OptiFine
Atlas19Iris is basically Sodium mod with shaders. So you basically get shaders with Sodium's FPS boost. And there are very little things, if any at all, you can't replace with mods in Fabric that OptiFine has. But if you're doing heavy modding you'll probably use Forge, in which case your only option will be OptiFine. So you can't really throw away OptiFine either.
