OpenTogetherTube lets you watch videos with your friends as easily as possible. It's completely open source, and able to be easily self-hosted via provided docker images.

Has support for:

  • YouTube
  • Vimeo
  • Dailymotion
  • Reddit
  • Tubitv
  • HLS streamed videos (.m3u8)
  • Direct .mp4 videos

Notable features:

  • No user account required, no need to sign up.
  • Uses Sponsorblock data to skip known sponsored segments or self promotion in youtube videos.
  • Custom room URLs, useful for regular returning users
  • Room permissions
  • Vote mode to let everyone vote on what to watch next
  • Playlist copying, lets you set up a youtube playlist and add all the videos to the queue
  • No ads!
  • DJ mode, loop one video and switch to any other video manually. Useful for D&D campaigns!
