What is Open Comments?
Open Comments is a free browser extension + web platform that adds an independent discussion thread to any URL.
Use it to comment on:
YouTube videos (even when creators disable comments) Articles and blog posts Product pages and any website
How it works:
Install and pin the extension Open any page Click the Open Comments icon to read, rate, and post comments for that exact URL
Key features:
Threaded replies Reactions (like/dislike) Ratings Global search across discussions Activity tab with notifications and comment history Privacy-focused: no background tracking; the extension contacts the server only when you open/use it
Accounts are used to prevent spam and abuse. Users can delete their own comments and delete their account from their profile.
