What is Onionskin?

Onionskin is PDF markup software for engineers, builders and architects who review and markup drawing sets every day.

It is designed around large-format drawings. The scroll wheel zooms at the cursor, the middle button pans, and the view holds its position and zoom as you move between sheets, so the same part of the grid stays in front of you from one drawing to the next.

Key features • Multi-arrow callouts: one note, as many arrows as it needs • Per-sheet scale calibration, with length, path and count measurement • Vector snips: copy a detail from one sheet to another at full resolution • Revision overlay: compare two issues of a drawing and see what changed • Search across the whole drawing set • A reusable library of symbols, notes and standard markups • Flattened PDF export for issue, with markups kept editable in your working file

Your drawings stay on your computer. Nothing is uploaded, and Onionskin works offline.

Native on macOS and Windows. Free for 14 days, then $7 (A$9.99) per month or $70 (A$99.99) per year.
