What is Onion Board?

Onion Board is a free, open source soundboard for Windows, and a free alternative to Soundpad and Voicemod. Press a pad or a hotkey, even in-game, and your friends in Discord or your game hear it through the mic you already use. There's no virtual cable to set up: Windows asks for permission once, and you don't change anything in Discord. VB-Cable, Voicemeeter and other devices are there as optional other ways.

Adding sounds is quick. Search YouTube, SoundCloud and Myinstants inside the app, paste a link, or drag in your own files. Coming from Soundpad, Resanance, Soundux or EXP Soundboard? Your sounds, names and hotkeys come with you.

You can trim any sound, change its speed and pitch, boost the bass, play it backwards or use presets like Nightcore and Slowed + reverb. There's a live voice changer, text-to-speech, and a Clean mic that takes fans and keyboard noise out of your voice. Optional AI voices run on your own PC.

It also has an in-game overlay, MIDI pads, a Stream Deck plugin, instant replay of the last 30 seconds, world radio, and sending one program's sound to your friends. Optional free add-ons play a sound when something shows up in your game, or put your pads on your phone. It checks your Discord settings and shows you how to fix anything that would cut your sounds out.

No account and no ads. Over 30 themes and 33 languages. An anonymous daily usage count is on by default and you can switch it off, and Offline mode turns off everything that goes online.
