What is Onivim 2?
Onivim 2 is a retro-futuristic modal editor - the next iteration of the Onivim project - combining Vim-style modal editing with the aesthetics and language features of modern editors.
Fast, native, cross-platform Onivim 2 is built from the ground up to be fast. Never wait on your editor!
Instant Startup Onivim 2 is powered by Revery - and compiled to native code. Under the hood, it uses libvim for an authentic Vim modal editing experience.
Cross-Platform Onivim 2 will be available for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
Works out-of-the-box
• Modern UX • Minimap • Fuzzy Finder • Command Palette • Syntax Highlightng
Extensible & Configurable
Onivim 2 will be compatible with VSCode extensions and configuration. In fact, we use VSCode's extension host as the backend for our editor. Our goal is to eventually support the entirety of VSCode's extension API, but we'll be starting here:
• Language Server Integration • Diagnostics • Code Completion • Themes • Snippets

A modern and beautiful looking graphical interface to Neovim. It has much promise. I do wish that focus was more on complementary features to Neovim rather than trying to follow VScode and similar editors e.g. it does some things that are already handled nicely by popular Vim plugins such as NerdTree, Fzf, airline, etc. I guess I am looking for a modern, fast and bug free alternative to Gvim, but Oni is trying to be something a little different.
I like it is an application with gui interface but full keyboard driven, without mouse.
