Oda information
What is Oda?
Oda is a document management application for Mac users. It organizes documents in real folders on your Mac without a proprietary database, cloud storage, or a subscription service. The application reads the document, recommends a filename, and files it in a chosen location. Documents are always accessible, even without Oda, as they are saved directly on your Mac.
Oda's Smart Rename feature uses on-device AI to analyze your document and suggest a filename, extracting information such as sender, document type, account number, and date directly from the document. It offers three import modes: Quick, +Date, and Smart Rename.
Oda allows for unlimited nested, color-coded, and custom-named folders. It has built-in OCR, making scanned PDFs searchable and enabling full-text search across your archive. Other features include the ability to tag documents across folders, edit text files directly in Oda with auto-save and zoom, and use built-in folder templates or create custom ones. It offers a free companion app for iPhone and iPad that syncs over local Wi-Fi, allowing for read-only access on mobile devices. Oda prioritizes privacy, with no telemetry, tracking, analytics, or cloud upload. It is available for a one-time purchase of €19.99 after a free 14-day trial.
