What is Numa DNS?
Numa is a portable DNS resolver that runs as a single binary on your laptop. It parses the DNS wire protocol from scratch in Rust, with no DNS libraries.
Features: Ad and malware blocking; DNS-over-HTTPS and DNS-over-TLS as both client and server; Oblivious DoH (RFC 9230) client and self-hosted relay, so no single party sees both who you are and what you asked; Recursive resolution from the root servers with full DNSSEC chain-of-trust validation; Local .numa service domains with automatic TLS and a reverse proxy; Ephemeral DNS overrides that auto-revert; Request hedging; LAN service discovery over mDNS; Phone setup by QR scan; Web dashboard with live stats.
