What is Nouri?

Nouri is the AI calorie tracker you use like a note. No food databases, no barcodes, no math. One sentence in, the full breakdown out.

Features:

  • Notes-style logging: type "chicken bowl with rice and black beans" and get calories and macros in seconds
  • Voice logging: say what you ate while you cook, walk or drive
  • Photo logging: your photo becomes a sentence first, so you can fix it before it counts
  • Siri logging: "Hey Siri, track food in Nouri" from the lock screen, without opening the app
  • Item-by-item breakdown with the reasoning and a confidence rating for every food
  • Recalculate any meal with extra context, like "it was a large portion"
  • Tracks calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, sugar and sodium
  • Personal calorie and macro targets for losing, maintaining or gaining weight
  • Health Score for every meal and every day
  • Nouri Coach: ask about your own eating, like what to have for dinner to hit your protein
  • Weekly Nouri Report every Sunday: what went well, what slipped, and one focus for next week
  • Saved Meals to re-log your regulars in one tap
  • Meal reminders
  • Apple Health sync: writes what you eat, reads calories burned, workouts and steps
  • No ads

Numbers you can check, not take on faith: in our own 100-meal benchmark against USDA data and restaurants' published nutrition numbers, Nouri scored 92.1/100 and MyFitnessPal 77.0. Every input, answer and miss is published on our site.

Why we built it: we quit every tracker too. MyFitnessPal's numbers were fine, but logging a normal dinner took several minutes, and by week three the app stayed closed. AI photo trackers were fast, but a plate the camera called around 400 calories was closer to 700 once the ingredients were added up. So we built the one we'd actually use: fast enough that you do it every day, honest enough that the number means something, and beautiful enough that you want to open it. The thing people tell us most: it looks like the calorie app Apple would have made.
