The idea is good on paper. But if you're self hosting, you might as well make your own site and accept credit card payments.
Also, while you can get 100% of the ETH people pay, you'll still have to deal with transaction and withdrawal fees, not to mention the volatility

Either as havens for the deplatformed or as open source self-hosted solutions to those who don&#39;t want to put their community in the hands of the google and facebook behemoths, the following solutions are pretty much guaranteed to protect your right to say what you want, as long as you aren&#39;t saying/doing anything illegal.  Content moderation is pretty lax in many of these apps and unfortunately, many attract refugees with unpopular opinions from the more conventional apps they replace, so proceed at your own risk!
