Northshell

Northshell is a free, open-source SSH client for macOS built around the MobaXterm workflow. Open a saved session and the remote files appear in an SFTP panel next to the terminal, while a status bar shows the server's CPU, memory, disks, network and load in real time.

Edit remote files in a built-in code editor with syntax highlighting and save them back with Cmd+S. Upload by dragging files from Finder, search the server's folder tree, sort by size or date and change permissions.

Supports passwords, private keys, ssh-agent and 2FA prompts; passwords are stored in the macOS Keychain and host keys are verified on every connection. Monitoring works over the same SSH connection with nothing to install on the server. Themes include Dark, Light, Visual Studio, MobaXterm and Windows 95.
