What is NitroShare?
A network file-sharing application that makes sending a file to another machine on the local network as easy as dragging-and-dropping.
NitroShare is designed to be hassle-free in every aspect. Just install the application on any machine running Ubuntu or Windows and you're all set. Each machine should discover all of the other machines on the local network. The application integrates with the operating system, using application indicators on Ubuntu and the system tray on Windows.

Comments and Reviews
Nitroshare is great. I love it. Works with Win, Android and Linux. Although it doesn't work for Ubuntu 20.04 yet, which is a pity. Hope they will make this available soon. In the meantime, need to use something else.
Seems not to work with Mac M1
Super reliable, display language is stuck with system language. Also, file transfer starts and gives up after a minute, peer client is listed half of the time, ended up using Windows' built-in network file sharing instead. I can't live without this.
Feels pretty convinient at first glance, but then it turns out that NitroShare does not transfer symlinks and does not preserve executables rights.
