Newegg has basically replaced Fry's as my go-to for computer parts. They have a bigger selection than Best Buy, and I feel more confident that what I'm looking at is what I'll get than at Amazon. That said, I do try to look for items that are in-stock and shipped by NewEgg themselves, and when I do buy from a third-party seller I try to check how far away they're shipping from.
The main reason I started purchasing on Newegg.com was the customer reviews. The detailed and comprehensive reviews allow me to accurately determine if a product I am considering is likely to meet my expectations and needs. Customers often list their reason for purchase, their specific use of the product and how it helped them or did not help them meet their goals.
Newegg.com also has a "Customer Choice" award program which has also been extremely influential in guiding my purchase decisions. Every product I've purchased that has won the Customer Choice Award has performed flawlessly and has normally been very reasonably priced.
