What is Murmr?

Murmr is AI dictation that runs entirely on your own computer. Press a key, talk, and clean text appears wherever your cursor is: email, documents, chat, code comments.

Dictation is unlimited and free for life, because it runs locally rather than on a paid cloud service. Your voice never leaves your machine, and it works with no internet connection.

The free version includes:

  • Unlimited dictation, no word cap
  • Style Picker: Raw, Polished, Casual, Formal, Concise, or with emojis
  • Searchable memory of everything you have dictated
  • Obsidian-compatible notes
  • Export to .txt and .docx

Murmr Pro is an optional one-time lifetime upgrade. It adds a personal dictionary for names and jargon, direct-to-notes dictation, composing by voice, lookup anywhere on the desktop, summaries, media transcription and subtitles, text-to-speech, and Ask AI from any app.
