Calibre may be a great tool for ebooks on desktop computers (Windows, Linux, Mac) but it isn't an ebook reader on Mobile (Android) devices at all. It should be listed as an alternative source for books, but not for the reader app.

Moon+ Reader is for Android, while Calibre is for PC. They are complementary to each other, but not alternatives.

FOSS, and absolutely beautiful UI. Feels like I'm reading from the site. Works offline without signup. Customisable, but not quite up to Moon+ in terms of background design and reading controls ie. auto-scroll, assistive reading, dictionary choices, etc. But if you dont care for the extra features, definitely reccomend this. Don't forget to support the dev!

I stopped using it when I couldn't find a way to display the TOC in any other fashion than the slowly animated sidebar thing that covers the whole book... Is there a way to display a normal discrete sidebar TOC that's integrated with the current (book) view? Other than that, I liked its speed and a lot of other aspects, but again, can't get past that hideous (sorry) popup TOC mechanism. Developer: Please take this to heart and make a faster, non-animted, quick (I mean real quick!) TOC solution.
