MnemoRead is a browser-based ebook reader built for people learning a language by reading real books. You bring your own DRM-free EPUBs, or pick from the public-domain titles and web novels in the built-in library, and read them in a clean, distraction-free reader on any device.
Tap a word for a dictionary lookup, a sentence for a translation, or ask for a grammar explanation when a construction trips you up. Every word you look up can be saved as a flashcard, so your review deck grows out of what you actually read rather than a generic word list, and spaced repetition keeps those words from fading.
Before you start a book, MnemoRead tells you how hard it is: estimated word count, how many words you are likely to meet for the first time, and how it compares to other books in the same language, so you can pick something at the right level instead of giving up two chapters in. Difficulty pages for well-known titles are published openly on the site.
It supports many European and Asian languages, including French, Spanish, German, English, Russian, Japanese and Latin, and works on desktop and mobile without an install. A free tier covers everyday reading; paid plans lift the daily limits and add extras. Your books stay yours: nothing is locked to the platform, and uploaded text is never shared.
