merkio

merkio is a free app for sharing shopping lists, to-do lists and notes in real time with your family, flatmates, club or team. Create a group, invite others with a code or link, and every change — like checking off an item — instantly shows up for everyone, no refresh needed.

It runs as a web app right in your browser (no installation; works on iPhone, iPad, Android and PC) and as a native Android app. Both share the same account and the same lists, so you can switch freely between them.

Highlights:

• Real-time sync across all group members
• Groups for family, flatshares, clubs or teams (invite by code or link)
• Shopping lists sorted by store or by category — drag the categories into the order of your own supermarket
• Recipe import: paste a recipe or a recipe URL, or just name a dish, and the ingredients land on your list automatically, scaled to your portions
• Duplicate detection that merges quantities
• To-do lists with priorities (A/B/C), due dates and assignees
• Notes with rich text (bold, italic, underline, bullet lists, text colors)
• Works offline on Android — changes sync automatically once you're back online
• Available in German, English and French (with the right supermarkets per country)
• Dark mode, push notifications
• Completely free — no ads, no subscription, no hidden costs. Privacy-friendly, made in Germany.
