Matter of Voice

Matter of Voice is a story-based community feedback platform for foundations, funders, and the nonprofit organizations they support. Instead of closed survey questions, it asks open story prompts, and community members answer in their own words by voice or by typing, through a phone call, a text message, a QR code, or a web link. No account or contact details are needed, and contributions are anonymous by default.

Stories from programs, grantees, and sites are held in one secure repository. AI clusters them into themes and arranges them by sentiment, and teams can filter by issue area, service touchpoint, demographics, and custom geography, then export selections for reports. Contributors can respond in several languages, including Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Tagalog, with transcription and translation into English.

Partner organizations and grantees can collect stories into a shared account while keeping their own data separate, and advisory panels support ongoing, paid dialogue with the same community members over time.
