Marunja Maestrino

Maestrino is a fast, free, browser-based Gantt chart editor built for engineers who need real project planning without the bloat of heavyweight PM suites. It runs entirely client-side: open a file, edit it, save it back — nothing is uploaded, no account required, free forever.

It is round-trip compatible with GanttProject 3.x (.gan), imports ProjectLibre (.pod), and exports to MS Project XML / MSPDI with correct dependency directions, allocation percentages and auto-scheduled tasks. A native plain-text Marunja format is also available.

The Gantt is rendered on canvas for smooth performance on large projects, with Retina/HiDPI support, zoom, fit-to-window and jump-to-today. A built-in CPM scheduler runs forward/backward passes, computes float, highlights the critical path, and cascades dependent tasks automatically. Tasks support a full multi-level WBS hierarchy, FS/SS/FF/SF dependencies with lag, drag-to-link, drag-to-resize, multi-select, cut/copy/paste with dependency remapping, 50-level undo/redo, and circular-dependency prevention.

Beyond scheduling, Maestrino covers resources and cost: resource and role/department management with daily rates and capacity (people and facilities), per-resource and total project cost against actual working days, milestone fixed expenses and income, a finance tab with monthly cash-flow charts (income vs. expenses, cumulative balance) and per-department spend breakdown, plus a resource-load FTE% heatmap. Costs support 24 major currencies with exchange rates auto-fetched and cached, with offline fallback.

The interface uses a polished Liquid Glass design with dark and light themes, in-app confirm modals, cross-browser support (Chrome, Firefox, Safari 13.1+), and full keyboard shortcuts.
