What is Many Displays?

Many Displays remembers where every window lives (display, position, size and Space) and puts everything back when your Mac wakes, unlocks or reconnects its monitors. It was built for identical monitors that macOS keeps swapping because they share the same EDID serial: it tells them apart by system UUID and physical port.

One layout is kept per combination of displays. After a reconnect it also restores the display arrangement, resolution, refresh rate, rotation and HDR, and turns off mirroring macOS enabled by itself. It reads the window server's list (about 20 ms for hundreds of windows) instead of asking every app through Accessibility, so a busy app never stalls it. Event-driven, no polling, idle when the MacBook is alone. Windows closed while away are never reopened.

No network, no analytics, no account. Source available on GitHub under the Functional Source License (FSL-1.1-MIT). Free 14-day trial, then a one-time $19 licence with one year of updates. Requires macOS 13 or later, Apple silicon and Intel.
