MainType

Top font management software. I've been using it for at least 10 years. Totally happy with it.

I absolutely love MainType Font Manager, I looked and downloaded over 15 font managers trying to find one that could handle the amount of fonts that I have, still be fast, be able to do sorting, easy access to the extra glyphs, and a few other qualifications. MainType is the only one that hit all of them and then some. I am so impressed with how well it handles my huge collection of fonts and it doesn't slow it down. I am able to sort my fonts into custom groups and folders. There are so many more features that MainType has packed in that I am just crazy over. I can change the font size in the previews, I didn't know I needed this until I downloaded two others that didn't let me. I highly recommend MainType Font Manager for everyone!

I have been using Maintype for many years now. Over this time it has made the management of fonts on my PCs muuuuch easier. Above all, the stability and user guidance have convinced me and continue to convince me, so that I buy every new version. Let's be honest: Each of us could organize the fonts with the Windows on-board tools without a utility. But these on-board tools are really hard to bear. It's like driving a Porsche but wanting to save the money for a proper car technician. Main Type saves me money and nerves. Managing several thousand fonts, which I regularly use for my advertising agency, would actually be impossible without MainType. Normally the program runs absolutely stable and error-free. However, when I once discovered an error, the development team helped me within a few hours and I was able to continue working. All in all, the program is top notch from the point of view of stability, user guidance and price/performance! I really don't see any other program that could keep up with the performance spectrum in relation to the price. Roger B.

The view of comparing fonts is more compact than alternative software's. The fonts are tagged to indicate their styles.

Even if it might not be perfect all the way, I wholeheartedly agree with all the positive reviews. Ther is no better alternative anywhere. I spent hours preparing for the end of PS1 Support in some months and I would have spent days without MainType. Havin been a satisfied pro user for many years today I decided to give that review after once again being "rescued" by the program that just works so perfectly that you can forget about it for month at a time sometimes. I also decided to give more feedback to the developers because once again I experienced super-fast and friendly support. MainType has fixed the problems Adobe and Microsoft cause for me countless times.
