Use it to connect to your own Remote Streaming Server and listen to your music wherever you go! Songs are cached for playback to save your mobile bandwidth and to make them available when you have no Mobile Connection!
Madsonic will instantly transports your media to any HTTP connected device regardless of bitrate. You can stream to multiple players simultaneously. Madsonic is designed to handle very large music collections. By using transcoder plug-ins, Madsonic supports on-the-fly conversion and streaming of virtually any audio format, including MP3, M4A, FLAC, AAC, OGG, OPUS, WMA, APE and more.

Pretty confusing website.
However as of Feb 2021, developer states an intention to continue development: https://support.madsonic.org/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=2748
Current release download page as a line through the Mac version with a link telling you how to install it... So is Mac supported? I don't know. https://www.madsonic.org/pages/download62.jsp
