Low Tide Calm information
What is Low Tide Calm?
Low Tide Calm is a free breathwork, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation app built for people managing stress, anxiety, burnout, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation. Simple UX, Simple UI.
It is designed around one principle: when you are already dysregulated, you cannot read instructions or scroll through menus. Every tool is reachable in two taps. Once installed, the app runs fully offline with no account, no subscription, no analytics, and no data ever leaving your device.
Low Tide Calm runs as a Progressive Web App you can install from any modern browser in under a minute, and ships as a native app on Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, and the Microsoft Store. A Samsung Galaxy Store version is in review.
Six tools are included.
Breathe: one-tap Emergency Calm 60-second relief, plus full guided protocols including box breathing, 4-7-8, morning reset, and pre-meeting calm.
Regulate: Crisis Protocol for meltdown, shutdown and panic, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, sensory regulation menu, and Steady Focus structured working sessions.
Dopamine Menu: low-effort activities filtered by energy level and browseable by category (movement, creative, social, sensory). Built specifically for ADHD and neurodivergent nervous systems. Random picker included. Add your own.
Check-In: log mood and energy from preset states (overwhelmed, shutdown, anxious, wired, calm, and others), with a seven-day pattern view. No analysis, no pressure.
Home: a calm starting point with two-tap access to crisis support and check-ins. No dashboard, no notifications, no gamification.
Journal: private, local-only thought capture. No prompts, no rules.
All check-ins, journal entries, custom dopamine menu items, and breathing preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. Nothing is synced to a server. The trade-off is that data does not move between devices and clearing browser storage clears your history. Built-in tools and protocols are unaffected.
Privacy and data handling are documented in plain English at lowtidecalm.ie/privacy-policy-app/, and the app meets Google Play health-app compliance requirements.
