Limato is a Chrome extension for non-native English speakers. Select text in any input field on any web page, press the hotkey, and rewrite it without leaving the page — no copy-pasting into a separate AI chat.

It works in Gmail, LinkedIn, Slack, Notion, Google Docs, X, and most other web editors.

Tones:

  • Native — aggressive ESL rewrite that removes non-native phrasing and filler (output is typically 30–55% shorter)
  • Formal — professional register for emails and business writing
  • Casual — relaxed, conversational
  • Simplify — plain language, shorter sentences
  • Academic — precise, formal, citation-friendly
  • Grammar — fixes only errors, keeps your wording
  • Humanize — removes AI-writing patterns (uniform sentence rhythm, triadic lists, generic transitions)

Translation: 34 languages, bidirectional. The Native rewrite works in any of the supported target languages, not just English.
