What is Liftmask?

Liftmask removes the background from any photo in one click, on your own Mac. Photos never leave the machine: both AI engines are built into the app and run offline. Apple's subject lifter handles clean shapes; the IS-Net model handles hair, fur, spokes and line art.

Erase and restore brushes, selection shapes and color keying fix the spots the model misses. Built-in studio, table, gradient, bokeh and paper backgrounds, plus real photo backdrops. Text and shapes with curved text, outlines and shadows.

Marketplace presets size the result for Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, Instagram, app icons, DTF and HTV transfers. Sticker sheets with kiss-cut outlines for Cricut and Silhouette. Batch processing, a Finder Quick Action and a Shortcuts action. Exports PNG, JPEG, HEIC, WebP and SVG.

One-time purchase of $29.99. The free version has every editing tool, exports PNG, JPEG and HEIC up to 1500 px, and never expires; the full version adds full-size exports, WebP, SVG, sticker sheets, batch and marketplace presets.
