What is LibreTube?
LibreTube is an alternative frontend to YouTube /
YouTube Music for Android. It's Free and Open Source.
It retrieves data via NewPipe Extractor, but doesn't pass the request to Google as NewPipe does. Synchronization across all devices is easy with an online YouTube frontend
Piped account.

The best open source youtube app in my opinion, has sponsorblock and many other cool features built in
Truly an amazing app for watching YouTube videos on Android devices. Works much more reliably than NewPipe and looks much more modern (uses the Material You design). Plus, it proxies the videos you watch through Piped so YouTube/Google doesn't see which videos you watch even if you don't use a VPN or Tor. Moreover, the player supports gesture for changing the volume and brightness while in full-screen. The ability to download videos to watch them later e.g., when you commute to work is a really nice addition. Oh, and from my experience the app is very light and doesn't use much battery.
A lot cleaner than NewPipe, uses Material You and is feature packed.
