What is Leaf Viewer?

Leaf Viewer opens more than 1,700 kinds of file on Windows, Mac and Linux, from a download of 11 to 24 MB. One app for the files you get sent or find and have nothing to open with:

  • Office documents without Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, Visio, Publisher, Apple Pages and Keynote, WordPerfect and old Mac and DOS documents
  • Mail: single emails and whole mailboxes, including Outlook archives (PST) and MBOX
  • Maps and GPS tracks (KML, GeoJSON, GPX, shapefiles), databases (Access, SQLite, Parquet) and data files
  • E-books, comics and notes: EPUB, Kindle, FB2, CBZ, Evernote, OneNote
  • Pictures including camera raw, HEIC, Photoshop and GIMP; films and music with subtitles and synced lyrics; sheet music and MIDI
  • 3D models, CAD drawings (DWG, DXF), building and engineering files, circuit boards
  • Archives and disk images opened in place, nested: ZIP, 7z, RAR, ISO, VHDX, VMDK
  • Science files (molecules, DNA sequences, medical images), code and notebooks, fonts, and PDFs

Leaf is a reader by design: it never changes, saves or deletes your files, never runs macros or scripts, and rebuilds every document without anything that could reach the internet, so remote images and tracking pixels in emails stay blocked.
