What is KitCommerce?

KitCommerce is a free, open-source (MIT), self-hosted ecommerce platform. It ships as packages that work together or on their own:

  • GoCommerce, the commerce engine and admin: one compiled Go binary on PostgreSQL with catalogue, carts, checkout, orders, inventory across locations, discounts, B2B price lists, marketplace vendors and multi-store channels, with a 61-screen admin built in.
  • Svelte Commerce, the storefront: server-rendered SvelteKit, which also has connectors for 26 other commerce backends.

44 modules add payments (Razorpay, Stripe, Adyen and more), shipping (Shiprocket, Delhivery, India Post, Shippo and more), messaging, search and product feeds. An MCP server lets an AI agent run the store through the same rights as the API, and all 342 operations are documented in OpenAPI.

Free for life, with no fee on your orders. GoCommerce 1.0 is new (September 2026), and the connector between the two packages is early (0.1.0).
