KiddoRemote

KiddoRemote turns a tablet or phone into a simple remote for the Windows PC connected to your TV.

It scans the video folders you choose and shows them as a wall of covers in any web browser on the same Wi-Fi. Tap a cover and the show plays full screen on the TV. Each series remembers its episode and position, the next episode starts automatically, and nothing else is ever recommended.

Parents set limits on the PC: minutes per day and allowed hours. When time is up the TV pauses itself, and the tablet can't restart it.

• No app to install on the tablet: open a web page and enter a 6-digit pairing code (iPad and Android both work)
• Covers from your folder images, or taken from the video automatically
• Resume per series, automatic next episode, whole-series loop
• Daily screen-time limit and allowed hours, with a one-tap "15 more minutes today"
• Library, watch history and screen time stay on your PC
• Uses the free VLC media player for playback (installed in one click from the settings page)

KiddoRemote contains no videos. It only plays files already on your computer that you have the right to play.
