Kept Ledger

Kept is a household expense tracker that works inside the AI assistant you already use. There's no new app to learn and no forms to fill in: tell your assistant what you spent, send it a receipt photo, or share a statement, and it files each purchase in your household's ledger.

Kept connects to assistants as a custom connector (a remote MCP server), including Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. It teaches your assistant what to ask, how to group the answers and what to remember. The assistant leads with a good guess, like "Groceries, like last Saturday?", and is told to confirm each purchase before saving it. Your history and notes stay in Kept, so you can use more than one assistant or switch at any time.

Kept never connects to your bank. Your assistant reads receipts, emails and statements with whatever access you choose to give it, and Kept stores what was learned, not the files.

Kept has no ads or analytics and doesn't sell your data. You can use the hosted version or run it on your own server. How well an assistant follows Kept's rules can depend on the assistant, its model and its effort level, and some assistants need a paid plan to add a connector.
