Kaseto is a lightweight music player, which represents music and audio books clearly and is deliberately limited to essential features. The freeware can group tracks by albums, genres and interprets with a single click. Furthermore, it is possible to filter tracks by specific criteria. Albums are clearly displayed as a cover.
At the first start, Kaseto will ask for the directory where the music and audio books are stored. The selected directory will be scanned. All found audio files will be automatically processed on the basis of their metadata to a clearly represented music collection. Neither the audio files nor the directory structure will be modified. Kaseto supports the audio formats FLAC, M4A (AAC), MP3, OGG and WMA.
The freeware detects new audio files as well as changed metadata or covers when starting and updates the music collection automatically. Missing or incorrect metadata (titles, artists, genres, CD numbers and track numbers) of songs and albums can be edited directly in Kaseto as well as it is possible to choose another another image as cover for an album.
Kaseto is still under development. This means there are maybe still some bugs and additional features will be implemented before releasing the final version 1.0.
