What is Karaoke StarSinger?

Karaoke StarSinger turns a song you already own into a playable karaoke track, in the browser.

You upload an audio or video file. StarSinger separates the vocals from the instrumental, looks up the published lyrics and checks them against your audio (it shows you the match percentage, and falls back to automatic transcription when they don't line up), then measures the pitch of every syllable. What comes back is a karaoke you can sing: lyrics lighting up syllable by syllable, a note line to follow, live microphone input and a 0-10 score for how close you sang. Spoken and rapped passages become rhythm notes instead of pitch notes, so you score them by timing rather than by melody.

There is no song catalogue, and there never will be. StarSinger doesn't distribute music - you bring the file, it processes it, and the result stays in your own private library. It is an editing tool, not a streaming service. That also makes it the answer for the case catalogues can't cover: musical theatre, a specific live version, regional music, an independent release, or anything outside the commercial top 100.

Nothing to install. Free plan: 3 songs a month, no credit card, output video watermarked. Paid plan: 30 songs a month, 1080p, no watermark. Interface in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Honest limits: transcription makes mistakes on screamed or heavily distorted vocals, pitch detection is less accurate when instruments sit on top of the voice, processing takes considerably longer than the song itself, and your file is uploaded to a server - if it must never leave your machine, use a local separator instead.
