What is K-Snag?

K-Snag is a free, open-source video downloader for Windows and Android. Paste a link (or on Android, share it from YouTube or any app), pick a format, and the file lands in your Downloads folder.

It works with YouTube and 1,000+ other sites (TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, Vimeo, SoundCloud…) because it's built on yt-dlp and FFmpeg. Before downloading, it shows the real quality and an estimated file size: MP4 up to 1080p that plays everywhere, maximum quality up to 4K 60 fps (MKV), or audio only as MP3 or M4A with cover art. Playlists are supported.

The download engine updates itself when YouTube changes something, so you don't need to reinstall. When something fails, it explains the error in plain language and suggests a fix instead of showing raw logs.

No ads, no account, no tracking: downloads happen on your own device. The Windows app is MIT-licensed and the Android app is GPL-3.0.
