Stone makes a good point on his blog.. Journalistic is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA) which means that it's uses your Web browser's storage which could be a challenge if you clear your cache.

Not sure if this is a recent addition, but the journaling data itself is cloud based & always synced onto the server.

The only thing that'd be affected would be the local settings, which are stored locally on the browser. Even then, they say it'd be repopulated "with the latest settings that you used on other devices" when you re-login.

Journalistic is a fast micro journal app that is easy to use, intuitive, and very well thought out but no markdown support or image attachments.

What is Journalistic?

Journalistic is a micro journaling app with a focus on a clean and minimalistic writing experience. It uses the established bullet journal format, making it approachable for beginners and highly efficient for experienced diarists.

• Twitter syntax: #tag activities and @mention people to keep track of them in your journal. Give ?? to entries to enshrine them in the Highlights section. (Tags, mentions, hearts, and your journals are private, only you can see them.) • Ideas: Save all your ideas in one place, ponder about them, and conceive solutions. • Wisdom: Collect the great thoughts, quotes, facts, excerpts, and lessons. • Focus: Prioritize goals and lock your attention in on the ones that are truly important. • Notes: Take it beyond bullet points and add monthly recaps, book summaries, etc. • Dreams: Log your nightly adventures together with your daily entries. • Get insights: While you go about your day, Journalistic crunches data and compiles meaningful insights from patterns hidden in your writings.

Become mindful about what's happening in your life and log your daily agenda in short 3-5 bullet entries. Minimalistic design and PWA ready. Start journaling...

The ultimate goal of a micro journal is to help you focus on what truly matters in your life and to provide a place where you can write down and organize all the things that occupy your mind.
