Stone makes a good point on his blog.. Journalistic is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA) which means that it's uses your Web browser's storage which could be a challenge if you clear your cache.
Not sure if this is a recent addition, but the journaling data itself is cloud based & always synced onto the server.
The only thing that'd be affected would be the local settings, which are stored locally on the browser. Even then, they say it'd be repopulated "with the latest settings that you used on other devices" when you re-login.
Journalistic is a fast micro journal app that is easy to use, intuitive, and very well thought out but no markdown support or image attachments.
