Jau Alternatives

    Jau is described as 'timer app that also plays music while displaying elapsed time. It will generate automatically playlists from your media library and play those when the timer runs. This way you can use it as an workout app but also for other activities'. There are six alternatives to Jau for Mac, Windows and Online / Web-based. The best alternative is Ethervane Stopwatch, which is free. Other great apps like Jau are TimeLeft (Freemium), TimerApp (Free), Timer (Free, Open Source) and Dial (Paid).

    1. Ethervane Stopwatch is a simple timer for Windows 2000 or later. It can be used for example to track the time spent working or performing other activities on the computer. The timer can be paused and resumed at any time.

      The program seems to be no longer updated, but last version, 1.6.0 build 30, released in February 2012, it's fully working and can be still downloaded from the official website.
