Touch the Grass information
What is Touch the Grass?
Touch the Grass is a screen-time control tool. It sets a daily time limit for social media browsing. Once the limit is reached, three animated grass critters take over your screen with a fullscreen nature scene and a countdown timer. The page is locked until the break is over.
To use, set your usage limit and break duration. The extension will track active tab time in the background. The timer only counts when a social media tab is active. Switch to another app, minimize the browser, or open a different tab and the timer pauses.
Three characters rotate through your break, each with a distinct personality and 50 unique comments. A new line appears every 30 seconds, calculated automatically from your break duration.
Both settings are adjustable. Usage Limit: 1 to 480 minutes. Break Duration: 1 to 60 minutes. Changing settings never resets your active timer. Your progress is always preserved.
Touch the Grass does not collect any data. No analytics, telemetry, or account required. Your settings are stored locally on your device and never transmitted anywhere.
