I've been searching forever for anything like this! Considering how straightforward it can seem, it has significantly enhanced my productivity because I can now arrange the files for each project I'm working on and maintain them in the same place even when switching between screen resolutions.
In the new updated version, more than 3 boxes cannot be added, it requires a fee, it is no longer free.

A few advertisements for other products of this company (a banner appears once a month). And the search program process is hanging in the background, but it can be terminated. Overall convenient.
Sorts Desktop very nicely into categories automatically with default set up... Safe as far as files go.. if you delete the box, file just placed on desktop, or stays in folder for folder portal method. I've made this program my big organizer. Note, though, that I work only with the folder portal method now. I found the standard icon box method too apt to fail. So, I made a big folder with subfolders and it works great. If it fails, I just make another folder portal and it's all there again. Most of the times if anything messes, it's a memory thing and a restart will fix it. There's Google in the Privacy details. 11/2024 IObit stuck an icon/ad onto my desktop in my ITop folder portal claiming to be under the favor of ITop. 7/9/2025 Pro Ad is getting more annoying by popping up after I click Ctrl 2x for Listary even though I have Search off.
