IntelliWebSearch information
What is IntelliWebSearch?
IntelliWebSearch is a Windows tool designed to save translators, interpreters, and terminologists time when searching terminology. Select a word or phrase in any application, press a shortcut key, and IntelliWebSearch sends it to any number of configurable search resources (online dictionaries, terminology databases, search engines, and local dictionary applications), opening the results in your browser or the target program. Results can be copied back to the original application with another shortcut.
The tool supports grouping resources for simultaneous multi-source searches, custom search settings per resource, and an exchangeable settings format that lets users share resource configurations. It is widely used in the translation industry alongside CAT tools such as Trados Studio and memoQ.
