Inklight recognizes scans and PDFs on your own computer and writes a searchable PDF beside each original. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account or processing server.

Drop PDFs or TIFF, PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP and HEIC images onto the window, pick them from a folder, or scan straight from WIA, TWAIN, SANE and eSCL scanners. Each file joins a Processing Queue and is recognized in the background by AI models that run locally on the CPU or graphics card.

Inklight is honest about doubt: words it is unsure about are outlined, not hidden. Open a document to read the text beside the scan, correct a word in place, or step through every uncertain word in the Check pass.
