What is InkBreaker?
Inkbreaker is a full writing platform for your whole writing practice. Draft and publish in a real editor, build a body of work, and grow alongside a community of working writers. It supports fiction, nonfiction, poetry, copywriting, journalism, technical writing, screenwriting, blogging, and worldbuilding, each with its own type-specific benchmarks.
Write in a real editor. A distraction-free word processor with autosave, version history, focus mode, full typography controls, find and replace, private notes, and dyslexia-friendly reading fonts. Import from Word, ODT, EPUB, PDF, RTF, Markdown, and more, with manuscripts split automatically into chapters, then export back to any of those formats.
See what is actually improving. A deterministic prose engine scores every submission using published readability research: reading ease, sentence variety, vocabulary range, passive voice, pacing, and dialogue ratio, all measured against benchmarks for your writing form. Pro adds advanced readings, full metric history, and trend analysis.
Practice with purpose. More than 60 exercises are tagged to specific craft skills like dialogue, scene economy, voice, pacing, compression, and clarity, with XP progression and six mastery levels per skill from Apprentice to Master.
Feedback from writers who mean it. Request a read matched by skill focus, rate feedback on usefulness rather than stars, and offer or request beta reads and sensitivity reads. Join forums, accountability groups called Chapters, and weekly, monthly, and quarterly competitions.
Build the world behind your story (Pro). A World Bible holds characters, locations, and lore. A Relationship Web tracks how bonds change over time. A Time Weaver lays out world history. A Lexicon Engine keeps naming consistent. A Consistency Sentinel reads your draft and flags name drift, contradicted facts, and timeline errors. Every tool opens as a sidebar while you write.
Your voice stays yours. Inkbreaker uses no AI to write, suggest, correct, or grade. Every metric is transparent and based on established readability formulas. The only AI involved is content-safety moderation.
Free forever, with no expiry. No credit card is required, and your data is never deleted between subscriptions (unless you request it to be). Pro is $12 per month or $99 per year, and every new account gets a 30-day trial.
