What is Hyper 8?

Hyper 8 Video System

A static site generator for video publishing

Build and publish video sites, from single videos to large archives. No database, no programming, no maintenance required. Compatible with virtually every webhost on this planet.

Hyper 8 is now a native graphical application, fully integrated into the desktop! You can still, and will always be able to, use Hyper 8 from the command line (even as a separate CLI-only edition!), but you don't have to anymore. After installation you can start Hyper 8 right from your desktop, which opens the graphical launcher where you can open an existing (or a start a new) Hyper 8 site in the editor.

Hyper 8 is in Beta

Hyper 8 provides a complete package for video publishing on the web. A dozen sites are already live out there using it! Officially, Hyper 8 is still in Beta though, so occasionally things might still be moving around a bit in the interface. Making backups of your Hyper 8 site directory is also generally recommended while Hyper 8 is still in beta.
