Human Lineage

Human Lineage is a free, public genealogical platform built around a single, collaborative graph of people and relationships — instead of separate per-user family trees, it maintains one shared, global dataset that anyone can browse or contribute to.

The project's goal is to integrate genealogical data from across the web into one connected graph: person profiles link out to external authority sources such as Wikidata, FamilySearch, WikiTree, and VIAF, so records that are currently scattered across dozens of separate databases can be traced back to a single, unified identity.

Key features:

• Browse the public genealogy graph without registration
• Collaborative editing for registered users (add/edit people, relationships, facts, and sources)
• Built on the GEDCOM-X data standard
• Interactive graph visualization of family and social relationships
• Links to external genealogical identifiers (Wikidata, FamilySearch, WikiTree, VIAF, and more)
• Source citation and archival record tracking for genealogical research

Human Lineage aims to be the WikiTree/Geni-style "one tree" for the whole of humanity — an open alternative to fragmented, siloed family tree software.
