Hikeset is a free trip planning tool built specifically for group backpacking trips. It solves the coordination headaches that come with planning in scattered texts and spreadsheets — where gear gets duplicated, campsites are unclear, and nobody knows who's bringing the stove.

Route planning: Upload GPX or KML files, or browse routes other hikers have shared. See your full itinerary day by day — daily mileage, campsite locations, elevation profiles, water sources, and resupply points — all on an interactive map.

Gear coordination: Build personal gear lists with weight tracking, then see at a glance what's covered across the group and what's still missing. Organizers set gear requirements for the trip; members claim items from their own lists. Fewer duplicates, lighter packs.

Group management: Invite your group by email, share one plan everyone can see, and keep the trip open for others to join or locked down to invitees only.

Meal planning: Search a food database by dietary needs and calorie density, add recipes, and plan meals for the trip. Hikeset is web-based and works on any device. No app install required.
